Dr. Stephen Press DC, PhD, CCSP, FACSM, FICC, ICSSD (Savealife)
OurMed Executive Technology Director.
I'm a licensed physician, practicing Chiropractic (33 years). Was chief physician for the "Unified Team" (former USSR) at the XVIth Winter Olympic Games in Albertville, France in 1992. Founded the World Governing body for Sports Chiropractic "FICS", Fédération Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport, now headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland at the Maison Internationale du Sports, and administered in Toronto, at the World Federation of Chropractic offices. I served on the Medical commissions of two IOC recognized World Sports Governing bodies; 1st as Chairman for the Fed. Int'l de Roller Sports, and then as Vice-Chairman for FIDE (Chess). Founded the IAOCO.org, and co-founded WikiChiro.org. Today, I serve as advisor for the International Sports Chiropractic Association (ISCA), which is the liaison body interacting with the World Olympian's Association (WOA). Hobbies include: Biblical archeology, Clarinet, Cello, Pocket Billiards and Artist blacksmithing, making swords and medieval armor.
My interest in OurMed came from meeting Greg Miller at a Wikipedia meeting at Columbia University, and being inspired by the openness he communicated, which I perceived as genuinely reflective of both his, and the attitude of the Board. This coincided with the end of an ugly dispute on Wikipedia with a cabal of anti-alternative medicine people who pervaded this whole field, and who have rendered the information there, (in my opinion) totally unreliable. This gang apparently works together to slander anyone who challenges that position. I thus felt I would devote my time to more objective, and appreciably fairer venues where my Wiki skills might be better appreciated; OurMed. Savealife 21:26, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
I am happy to say that my issue with Wikipedia has been partially resolved, by direct intervention of Jimbo Wales, its founder. I truly appreciate his assistance in this matter.Savealife 22:22, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

Upon nomination by the Executive Director, and election by the Founding Framer's Committee, OurMed's Board of Directors has bestowed upon this editor the "Founding Framer Award", OurMed's highest distinction, for dedication and devotion to the founding of OurMed.org, after donating more than 100 hours of his valuable time. This award will only be awarded to the first 100 volunteers to contribute, and their names are to enshrined on OurMed's website for all time.

| Awarded to Dr. Stephen Press for being an incredibly strong leader of the Content Committee. Although Stephen is a busy doctor of Chiropractic, he is a firm believer in OurMed's mission for the need to create the world's first ever unbiased healthcare website. He's called out numerous glitches in our old site and has moved mountains to upgrade the quality of our content articles, most recently finishing the oversite of the Categorization Project that took a lot of grunt work to do. Thank you Sir Stephen for a job well done!
