This past weekend, August 28-29, the 2nd annual Wiki-Conference New York took place at the NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. It was supported by Free Culture@NYU and Wikimedia New York City. Clay Shirky, author of Here Comes Everybody and academic was the keynote speaker on Saturday and Sue Gardner, Executive Director of Wikimedia Foundation was the keynote speaker on Sunday.

Greg Miller, OurMed Executive Director, introduced a "Lightning Talk" to the entire conference and demo'd a version of our new site. Greg also joined Stephen Press on a panel called "Wiki's at Work". Many strategy issues were discussed and OurMed was compared against Larry Stranger's Citizendium.org.

We have plenty of room on both our Content Committee and Tech Committees which meet weekly mostly by conference call using an American call-in number.

Currently, the team is looking into categorizing current articles amongst eleven categories so that when the site launches toward the end of the year, it will be filled with well organized unbiased information.
